Entomologist

Augustine Bosomtwe holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Crop Protection (Entomology) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.
Mr. Bosomtwe joined CSIR– Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute (CSIR-PGRRI) in 2019 as a Principal Technologist. His research interests are in Integrated management of field and stored products insect pests, host plant resistance, safe pesticide handling, and climate change. He has authored a good number of publications on field, stored products and aquatic insect pests in refereed journals and scientific conferences.

He has been actively involved in training farmers, agricultural extension officers, and agrochemical dealers in IPM via workshops, field demonstrations, and radio programs. In 2021, he was awarded a Young Scientist Research Project at the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Rural Development Administration, Republic of Korea by KAFACI.
