Amanda graduated from West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement- University of Ghana with Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Seed Science and Technology. I pursued a BSc. Degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi- Ghana and attended Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School at the secondary level. I had my Masters' degree research on effect of water stress on seed quality and associated traits of Bambara groundnut and my research at the Bachelor of Science level was the induction of callus from leaf explants of African locus bean (Parkia biglobosa) for somatic embryogenesis. I joined the Plant Genetic Diversity Division of the institute in 2021 and interested in seed systems and plant genetic resource conservation, breeding and protection. I am a member of the CSIR- Research Staff Association (RSA) and Ghana Science Association
