PhD in Symbiotic Science of Environment and Natural Resources

Dr. Rashied Tetteh is the acting Head of the Plant Genetic Conservation Division and the seed genebank at the CSIR-Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute, Bunso, Eastern region. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture and a Master of Philosophy degree in Crop Science from the University of Ghana, Legon. In 2012, he was awarded the Asia and Africa Clean Environment Scholarship (ACE Scholarship) for the Education Program for Field-Oriented Leaders in Environmental Sectors in Asia and Africa for his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Symbiotic Science of Environment and Natural Resources at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. His Ph.D. thesis focused on the “Experimental study on the effects of ozone on growth, net photosynthesis and yield of two African cowpea varieties”.

His research interests are in Plant Physiology, Seed physiology, Seed conservation and Plant responses to Abiotic stress. He has published in peer reviewed journals on seed quality, seed longevity and plant responses to abiotic stress.
