Mr Victor Nketiah was appointed Acting Head of Commercialization Division of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research - Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute (CSIR - PGRRI) in July 2021. He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil. Crop Science) from the University of Ghana (UG) and BSc. (Agriculture) from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. He also holds a Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ (3 - Year Post Secondary) from the SDA College of Education, Asokore, Koforidua, Ghana.

Mr. Nketiah Joined CSIR - PGRRI in 2019 as a Principal Technologist. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Head of the Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute’s Nursery and Farm Management Sections. He has been engaged in the production of seedlings and commercialization of research by-products to generate funds to CSIR - PGRRI. He has on many occasions led teams to consult on a number of farm projects for clients who patronize the institute’s products. Also, he has been involved in training programs for students, farmers and recruits of some agricultural establishments. Again, he has participated in Stakeholder Engagement Workshop for Curriculum Development on cashew for Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) levels. He has been a regular facilitator for learners in the Competency Based Training (CBT) program for Oil Palm and Mango Sector Employment based on Commission for Technical and Vocational Education Training (CTVET) accredited Agricultural Technical and Vocational Training (ATVET) curriculum.

As the Acting Head of Commercialization, he is responsible for the day to day management of research and human resources of the Division; identification, development and submission of convincing proposals to attract funding in collaboration with other Divisions of the institute and organizations; collecting, reviewing and submitting of quarterly, annual and other reports of the institute; represent the Division on the Institute’s Internal Management Committee (IMC) and; to perform any other duty as he may be assigned by the Director or anybody acting on his behalf from time to time.
